Q Why should readers try this series?
A This bold new series starts out looking at the life of a regular(ish) teen girl who’s bullied at the hands of her mother, the paparazzi and her fellow students. But what happens over this nine book series is this unfortunate girl becomes the most badass girl in all of history. Most readers will appreciate this series because there is literally nothing like it out there right now, which makes the Swann series feel fresh and yes, highly addictive.
Q What kind of series is this?
A Swann and Monarch (books one and two) are both human stories steeped in high school angst, bullies, difficult parents and the twisted effects of human genetic modification. The third book, Clone, kicks this world wide open, unleashing a rapidly evolving world of urban fantasy. By the ninth and final book in this series, urban fantasy will have become dark fantasy, but by then you’ll be so hooked that nothing else will matter (the author says with a Cheshire cat-like grin).
Q What kind of readers will enjoy these books?
A I find fans of Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games and Divergent will appreciate the Swann series novels. Although this is not a rehashed version of any of the series listed above, Swann is for readers who love a strong, snarky heroine with real internal struggles who constantly wrestles with adversity while facing off with some of the most unusual villains in young adult fiction today.
Q Are there adult themes in this series?
A Yes. To stay authentic to the YA world, and to most of today’s teens, there is some strong language, violence and adult situations. I personally feel this series should be enjoyed by ages 15 and above.

Let me say that not one teen or parent in this book has any kind of responsibility or moral compass about them. Why in the world is everyone pregnant? Like it's the thing to do? I really hope the one percent of the one percent aren't really like this... if so, God help us. I started to really get into the series at around book four so if you are trying to figure why you should stick around; it's because it gets sooooo good and you don't want to stop reading. It's a compulsion now, I need to know what comes next. Book six stops where the prequel Vannie stops and OF COURSE you aren't going to stop reading the series... me eitherProduct details

There is such a multi faceted story hidden inside these pages, what this book is to a reader, is the equivalent to a archeologist finding the Tutanchamuns tomb (unmeasurably valuable, one of a kind).
I believe that a book, any book can be read in a multitude of ways.
Reading Just to relax- then you might want to read something light and catching..
Reading To distract- you might want something engaging, to keep your mind and attention...
Reading As a mean to open minded troll the book-ocean for the multilayered gemstones and rare treasures hidden within. Thats what i call All in readers- Then you might want something more than the stereotype book.
No matter how and what type of read your looking for, this one is head on the nail, smack, dab, bullseye, perfect!
Unbelievable, for each book I read in this series it hits a soft spot more accurately than a target seeking missile. I have no idea how he does it but the vertigo feeling combined with a deep WOW-awe has me somewhat stunned.
As always with this series, the author sucks you right in from page one. Meet Abby's latest incarnation - Raven - a not quite human gen-mod who is just beginning to understand some of the amazing things she can now do ! What will this new persona do to already existing relationships ? How will she handle old hatreds ? Tune in, you won't regret it !
I‘m reading all of the author’s books in this series and it’s hard to stop and take a break. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories.
You have to read this book, take this ride all the way to the end once you pick it up ! It will entertain you. It will make you laugh, gasp, shock your sensibilities and keep you wanting to know more. I felt like I had run a marathon both physically and emotionally. And loved every minute of it. Way to go, Ryan !
I really don't know how Ryan Schow does it. He is constantly reinventing what the Swann Series is and comes up with pretty darn amazing twists. Raven is yet another perfect example of this. Once again the series is off in a new direction. Incredible. Luckily the writing stays excellent, new characters well done, returning characters strong and continuing to develop, plot (with all its twists) still (very) well done, etc. Botyom line yet another fun read (but I'd still say read the prior books in the series first). Cudos Ryan!

The age old belief that light cannot exist without darkness is woven into a well paced plot, full of surprise twists. I can't begin to imagine what happens next, but I'm diving into book seven immediately!
Wow! What can I say except this was a crazy good read! As soon as you think you have this series figured out the Author slaps you in the face with something new and exciting! I can't wait to see what he has in store for me next.
